This tallcase timepiece is very unusual. It has
a brass, weight driven movement with two weights driving the time train and an
integrated B. B. Lewis perpetual calendar in its waist. The movement runs for 30
days on a winding.
The mahogany case has beautiful inlay.
The perpetual calendar in the waist is a
standard, early B. B. Lewis mechanism with the label and instructions in tact on
the back. The calendar accounts for the different lengths of month as well as
leap years.
